The 2009 Delaware State Duck Stamp Contest

 

The Delaware Duck Stamp Contest was held April 12 at Owens Station in Greenwood, Del. There were 31 entries in the contest. The Best In Show, by artist Richard Clifton of Milford, Del., will be featured as the 2009 Delaware Duck Stamp and will be available for sale on July 1, 2009. Mr. Clifton won the state competition for the fifth time since 1992.

Second place 2009 Delaware Duck Stamp Contest - by George Lockwood

Third place 2009 Delaware Duck Stamp contest - tundra swans by Robert Metropulos

Third place in the state contest was a painting of tundra swans by Robert Metropulos of Hazel Hurst, Wisc.

Honorable mention 2009 stamp contest - blue-winged teal - by Trevor Eckhoff

Among honorable mention citations was this painting of blue-winged teal by Trevor Eckhoff of Willmar, Minn.

Black ducks - one of them preening - earned honorable mention in the state contest for artist Gunner Hilliard of Glassboro, N.J.
