NEWS from Fish & Wildlife:

ADVISORY: The regulation requiring a FIN (Fisherman Information Network) number for all Delaware anglers, 16 years and older, went into effect Jan. 1, 2009. If you are a Delaware angler or non-resident who intends to fish Delaware waters, a new FIN number must be obtained annually in addition to a Delaware fishing license. Go here for more information on getting your Delaware FIN number.

More angling:

REMINDER: Delawareans and non-residents alike now must be licensed to fish fresh and salt water. Crabbing and clamming also require licenses.

State duck and trout stamp winners for 2011
Pennsylvania artist George LaVanish's painting featuring a pair of hooded merganer ducks will grace the 2011 Delaware Duck Stamp, by virtue of his winning the state stamp art competition. Meanwhile, the 2011 Trout Stamp will feature a painting of a rainbow trout by Jeffrey Klinefelter of Etna Green, Ind. who won the state contest.

Delaware Safe and Ethical Hunter LogoHunter / Trapper Education Access, where you can:

  •  • Find a hunter education course;
     • Sign up for hunter education courses;
     • Enter or update your personal contact information, and
     • Print your Hunter Education Certification Card.

ADVISORY: Delaware law now requires live firing of a shotgun as part of basic hunter education. If you are about to sign up for a basic hunter ed. course, please download, complete and mail in the new liability release. Please note the release requires the signature of students 18 years old or older, or of parents / guardians of hunter ed. students under the age of 18.
