Weather permitting; the Mosquito Control Section is planning the following insecticide application during the evening hours on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 and during the morning hours on Wednesday, October 7, 2009.
 
Application of Permanone (permethrin/PBO) with truck-mounted sprayer to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas:
 
In and near Milton, Dewey Beach and near Oak Orchard and Lewes.
 
All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions.  The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife, or the environment.

Application of Trumpet EC (Naled) with an airplane to control adult mosquitoes in the following areas:
 
In and near Lewes and in Broadkill Beach and Prime Hook Beach.
 
For the purpose of beekeeper notification, spraying will take place in spray block numbers: 128, 129, 141, and 142.
 
All insecticides to be used are registered with the USEPA for mosquito control and will be applied according to USEPA approved label instructions.  The USEPA has determined that the insecticides to be used do not pose unreasonable risks to human health, wildlife or the environment.
